The Boardman House is an elegant mansion in the historic district of East Haddam, Connecticut and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Boardman House was built in 1860 as a residence for Norman S. Boardman and his family. The three-story structure is built in an informally romantic version of the Italianate style. It was built at what originally was known as Norwich Avenue.
Norman Boardman and his father Luther Boardman were makers of silver plated ware and Britannia spoons and also had their factories along Norwich Avenue. Today the Goodspeed Musicals Scherer Library of Musical Theatre, one of the most extensive musical theatre research facilities in the United States, occupies the sites of the Boardman factories. The Boardman House is today an inn.
